Information about Children

All stepchildren who are unmarried and under 21 years of age, even if you are no longer legally married to the child’s parent, or if they do not live with you and/or will not immigrate with you.

Children include all biological children, legally adopted children, and stepchildren who are unmarried and under the age of 21 on the date you submit your entry. You must include all eligible children, even if they do not live with you or if they do not intend to apply for a Diversity Visa as your derivative. Failure to list all eligible children is grounds for disqualification. If your child is a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident, do not list him or her in your entry.

Legal Separation is an arrangement when a couple remain married, but live apart, following a court order. If you and your spouse are legally separated, your spouse will not be able to immigrate with you through the Diversity Visa program. You will not be penalized if you choose to enter the name of a spouse from whom you are legally separated.

If you are not legally separated by a court order, you must include your spouse even if you plan to be divorced before you apply for the Diversity Visa. Failure to list your eligible spouse is grounds for disqualification.

If your spouse is a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident, do not list him or her in your entry.

If you are not officially divorced from your spouse, but you are not cohabiting and are separated, you must still list this person in the application.

If you are officially divorced (the divorce is registered with the relevant administrative body), your spouse (former spouse) will not be able to immigrate with you to the USA under this program.

You will be disqualified if you decide to list a spouse (former spouse) from whom you are officially divorced (the divorce is registered with the relevant administrative body).

If you are not officially divorced (the divorce is not registered with the relevant administrative body), you must list your spouse in the application even if you plan to divorce before receiving the green card visa. You must also list them even if your spouse does not intend to immigrate.

A spouse in a registered marriage who is already a U.S. citizen or a Lawful Permanent Resident (LPR) does not require an immigrant visa. Therefore, select 'married and my spouse IS a U.S. citizen or U.S. LPR'.

Photos

You can take an electronic photo, submit a photo link, or upload a recent photo.

Your DV lottery photo must meet the same requirements as a U.S. visa photo. If your photo is more than 6 months old, has been edited, or does not meet the requirements, you will not be eligible to participate in the DV lottery.

The photo format must be JPEG. Other formats, such as PNG, GIF, or BMP, will not be accepted. Before uploading the file, make sure it is saved in JPEG format.

The photo must be smaller than 240 KB in size. Larger files will not be accepted. If necessary, reduce the file size while maintaining its quality.

The photo must be square, meaning its width and height must be equal. The size must be at least 600 x 600 pixels and no more than 1200 x 1200 pixels. Make sure your photo meets these dimensions to be uploaded successfully.
